First of all, congratulations on hosting another wonderful festival!  Hope you all get a chance to sit back with your feet up and get to enjoying some peace and quiet.
Comments? I'll start with the negative ones:
Getting caught in a rain shower on the way back from the showers...(but hey, since my hair was already wet I really didn't care, so I guess this really doesn't count as a negative)
Too short - it was over way, way, too soon...probably not soon enough for you guys, with all the work involved, but it seemed like it was over so quick!
Umm....can't think of any others.
Positives:
Wonderful, awesome, terrific, fun, entertaining, happy time. The staff you have working the festival are terrific - it's so nice to deal with them.  I can't begin to imagine how much work these festivals are to pull together - you guys are amazing!  It comes off looking so classy and professional and effortless to those of us attending.  No wonder the bands love to come to Blistered Fingers!  You're the best! Many, many thanks to you for all the work and the tremendous effort you put  in to making the festivals such a fantastic time. It's greatly appreciated! Can't wait to get back for the August Festival - It can't come soon enough!

  We have been coming to the B'F. festival spring and fall for about 15 years. You don't know us (maybe by sight) but we wanted to take time to let you know how much we enjoyed the new grounds in Litchfield. Because we always arrived late Thursday morning we would always go to the big field on the right  in Sidney. I forget the name you had for it. This week we got to Litchfield late Thursday afternoon and the grounds were already pretty full. The staff took us around on golf carts till we found site with elec. They really were interested in helping us and making sure we were happy with where we were.  I imagine that job continued to be more difficult as the day wore on. The B.F. staff has always been great and that continued throughout the weekend. It happened that the spot we were in had the friendliest people at the festival and even a couple of our friends happened to be parked close. We had the best time yet at B.F. with all the visiting and picking and music. We also appreciate that the Cormier's are a close and loving family.  We like hearing about the engagements and babies, and we like seeing you perform on stage with family members, it is such a blessing to be able to do that. We can tell even from afar that you are both  loving and dedicated parents and grandparents. We love the new location and we tried to do our part in supporting the vendors who were there. The lineup was fine and we really like the gospel sing with Mike and Mary on Sundays. One last thing, we brought a couple to their first ever festival this weekend, they camped beside us. He is a very good flat picker and his wife likes to sing. They had a great time and can't wait to come back. Thanks for everything.

2009 was my second summer at Blistered Fingers. Stinks it is going to be at a new place cause My group (yea all the teens you see running around with trash bag rain coats and bare feet) has a lot of memories built up at the old place. But that's ok we will make lots of new ones. I just wanted to say on here Thank you everyone that made all the memories Possible. We all have lots of memories with our friend Craig Morse there, and he loved the place too :) Thanks for putting up with us. And thanks to everyone who has been praying for Craigs Family and Friends. It's been rough, But he's playing his fiddle for God now, even faster then he was down here. So everyone get practicing so we can Keep up when we meet up with him again :D

So far we have been able to attend the festivals in Fort Fairfield, ME, but be able to travel to some of the others. We would really like to here you people do a couple of Dolly Pardons bluegrass songs from her CD called Halos and Horns. We believe you guys would do great with songs like "A Dagger Through The Heart." and " Raven Dove " or the title song " Halos and Horns " . We know you people would do great with them. Even with my lack of coordination coming out of the camper rendering me a gimp for the weekend, it was fantastic! I appreciate the music, hospitality, medical attention, and thoughtfulness in getting me to and from the stage area via golf cart.

 Just a "delayed" note of thanks for the August 08 festival. As always, a great time, plenty of good music, great field pickin, and outstanding service by the staff. Thank you VERY much. On another subject................While we were there at the festival on Friday morning I had a totally unexpected vehicle breakdown. Being unfamiliar with any automotive services in the area I looked in the program flyer that I received upon entering the festival grounds. There it was! Just what I needed. A towing service nearby and a full-service, independently operated repair shop. I called Sidney towing at 547-3592. Rusty, the owner, said he was on a call and would respond as soon as he got done with that service call. In 45 minutes he was there, loaded my car and hauled it to Exit 32 Automotive service on Lyons Road tel. 547-4006. The towing was fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced. Exit 32 Auto immediately determined the problem, called me with an estimate of parts, labor, and time for pick up. He did a fine job on the repairs, at the cost quoted and in a timely manner. Both of these businesses are a credit to their respective fields of service. Both were kind, courteous, VERY reasonably priced and did an outstanding job for me.  I would recommend them to any of your patrons in the future.

We've been, seen, listened, ate, talked, sung, whistled and loved every minute of the 2007 festivals!! Bet I left something out. Everyone is fantastic. The musicians of course are outstanding and some even more than one can express. The vendors are great and listening to the jamming campers, well who can stay up that early ? What a wonderful time. Even the storm didn't want to upset every-ones fun and went right on bye. We love it again our second year and look forward to many more with you all.

Blistered Fingers has to be the best of all around bluegrass I've ever been to! Their great, their one of a million, and their like having one big family that cares and loves everybody equal. When we are around the bluegrass festivals they are at we feel like we belong and our worries are left behind.

Last summer we were at the festival in New Richmond, Quebec and truly had a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed your sets!! We wouldn't lie to you and after checking your site are tentatively thinking of attending your festival in June. We always wanted to cross on the Cat from Yarmouth to Bar Harbor so we would be traveling up that way staying one night in Bar Harbor and looking around the town the next day. Yours in bluegrass.

I am writing to let you all know of a great loss in the Old Time music world. Mr. Hank Wilkey of Maine and Massachusetts (Cape Cod) passed away on 12/24/06 at 1:00 am. I know he has played music in Maine with lots of people. He used to talk about having Mr. Jimmy Cox fixing his banjo. I know there is no service as of yet because of his sons. But, next summer on Cape Cod the rest of his family will be holding some kind of Memorial. If you would like to know more about it, please contact me. I will keep all who contact me in touch with what is going on. Hank is now playing on a higher stage. We will all miss him greatly. His niece.

Wanted to get back to you and let you know how much we enjoyed the June Festival in Sidney.  It was sure great fun and so much in fact that we went to Fort Fairfield in July and planning to go back to Sidney in August.  We are hooked, line & sinker!  The music can reach deep and yet be fun, too.  All the entertainers were at their best as far as we were concerned.  What a wonderful way to spread love and happiness!  Keep up the good work and doing what you do best.

I was first introduced to your band at the Weston Playhouse last Feb 05, and again was delighted to see you this past weekend (Feb 25th, 06) also in Weston. I have learned to love Bluegrass and the bluegrass family. It was through a member of Candi Sawyer's family that I got closer and more involved. Before that, I had many CD's but had not been to live performances. All that changed last year. The shows in Weston and the Jenny Brook Festival showed me how great the music was live !!! Your band has such enthusiasm, that a smile as wide as Sandy's seems to always be on my face when listening. Chad's performance was just great as was meeting his wife and new daughter. I liked the newest member of the band also. What a joy to be there. Oh, and thanks so much for getting Fernan to join in ..His voice is wonderful, and it was a real treat for all of us there.. Just a note to thank you for doing what you do.  The August Festival was our first but won't be our last!  I was told that if I was to only attend one festival a year then make it Blistered Fingers.  That was excellent advise.  To have a festival of that size go so smoothly is a testament to your dedicated hard work to put this on.  Doing all of this plus having your first grandbaby and in the midst of losing one of your band members was an emotional roller coaster that everyone could see and our hearts went out to you as you shared your sorrow on one hand and joy on the other.  I did find it ironic that Rustic Harmony's song "She's a Treasure"  seemed to fit in so well.
Already making plans to attend the June festival.  Thank you again!

I am just going through the internet looking for an old friend and I came across this web site. As a matter of fact I was sitting having a drink and listening to some of the bluegrass cardinals. I was down in the US of A last year and on my way back from Florida I got a hotel room in Kentucky and I couldn't believe the music coming out of the guest room on the main floor. I went down stairs and sat and watched these people play. Unbelievable the sound coming out of this band.  I was told if you want to here some real down home back wood bluegrass is to go into some of the small towns in Kentucky and West Virginia. That is a state i would move to in a second. I think the country is so beautiful. Anyway just letting you know how I feel about the music you Americans come out with and the beautiful country you live in. Any good areas to go listen to some real good down to earth music and meet some real down to earth people let me know.  Thanks JABBER

I am 66 yrs old and love music. I play reeds in two community bands. One year ago I purchased a five string banjo and thought I could learn to play it with little difficulty. Boy, was I wrong. My hat is off to the people that can play it. I can't seem to become automatic with the chords or fingering. When I play tenor sax/clarinet I don't need to think of my finger positions. When I practice the banjo, I must have a brain made of concrete. Any advice? I really would love to play bluegrass banjo, in fact I would sell the reeds. The August 2004 Blistered Fingers Festival was super! Kudos to Greg and Sandy Cormier for a friendly, well-run festival. Bands were great, and vendors were among the best (those fried clams can't be beat). Best thing is, they've kept the price down and kept from getting an attitude, unlike certain other big Maine festivals (which we've sworn off).
We'll be at both the June and August festivals next year.
